1 On February 15, 1979, E.L. Hall and Mike Adams were removed from their respective positions as Lieutenant and Chief, Broken Bow Police Department. Both officers were notified by letter from City Manager Paul OKeefe that they had been dismissed from the force effective at five oclock that evening. The notification to Chief Adams stated:
